Detoxifying Water

There are many benefits to drinking water, and it is even more beneficial when it’s infused with nutrients and antioxidants. Our favorite ingredients to use are lemon, cucumber, ginger, and mint; combined these ingredients help improve digestion, reduce bloating, and keep one hydrated.  

Lemon, a citrus fruit, has high antioxidant and Vitamin C content. Cucumbers are made up of about 96% water and its peel contains a good amount of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Ginger is a zesty root that has anti-inflammatory, digestive, and antiemetic properties. Mint leaves have a unique aroma and properties such as essential oils that help soothe the stomach and aid in the digestion process.

To get the full benefits of this water, use fresh ingredients only.

1 whole lemon sliced

1 whole cucumber sliced

1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger

12 mint leaves, add more if you like the more minty flavor

8 cups of water

Use a pitcher of your choice and fill it with all the ingredients listed above, water being added at the end. Let the water infuse in the refrigerator overnight. Enjoy this refreshing and detoxifying water cold or at room temperature throughout the day. Ideally, consume one full cup before your meals and the remainder throughout the day.
